Bloggy Giveaway Carnival is Here!

It's here! It's here! The Bloggy Giveaways Quarterly Giveaway Carnival is finally here!

I am giving away a cookbook called "The Fiddlehead Cookbook" - Recipes from Alaska's Most Cherished Restaurant and Bakery.   There are many recipes in it that you will want to try, from Crabby Eggs to Sourdough Strawberry Waffles.

The rules are simple:

1. Leave a comment on this post just saying "Hi!", and you are entered! To be entered TWICE tell me something about your favorite cookbook OR what you would do with this nice cookbook from Alaska.

2. Please leave your email addy or a link to your blog  so that I can contact you if you win.   I would love to know where you are from and those that tell me will be entered TWICE!

3. I will randomly draw a name early on August 2nd and will post the winner here. I will also contact the winner via email, but if I do not hear back from him/her within 3 days, I will have a re-drawing. I will pay ALL shipping costs for the winner.

4. At this time, I cannot extend this offer to those residing outside the United States.

If you like giveaways, you will find
lots of them here.

Thanks and I hope that some of you will "cook" with me!

Well, I had a comment all written out and it didn't post so if this is a duplicate I'm sorry.
Of course, I would love a chance at winning the cookbook. I don't have any cookbooks from Alaska. My favorite cookbook is a community cookbook call Plum Good put out by the Christ Child Society of Cleveland, Ohio.

HI!

I think an Alaskan cookbook would be great! I bet there are a lot of excellent seafood recipes in there. My folks live in Seattle and sharing with my Mom would be awesome. :)

Someday I'd like to go back to Alaska. The one last family vacation with I was when in high school was to Alaska and we had an excellent time visiting glaciers.

Greetings from sunny FL! One of my favorite cookbooks is a Southern Living one I purchased about 16 years ago after graduating from college. I've kept it all this time and it's made every move around GA, Maui, and FL with me. It has a wonderful banana bread recipe ... that particular page is quite stained!

I love cook books. My favorite for crockpot cooking is Fix It and Forget IT and Fix It and Forget It For Entertaining. For desserts I use the 101 Things to Do With a Cake Mix.

I don't own a cookbook from Alaska. So, if I got this one the first thing I would do is read it cover to cover while soaking in the bathrub. Then I would bake some muffins, cookies or a bread from it!

Hi Mo!
I only recently picked up my first Alaska cookbook, so this would be a nice addition. I love sourdough recipes and the Sourdough Strawberry Waffles sound good - I would have to try those.... It’s too hard to pick a favorite cookbook, but I wouldn’t want to lose my copy of Eet Smakelijk from the Junior League of Holland, MI.

Oh I love cookbooks and I'm sooo excited you are giving one away. My husband and I live in Texas and we have always dreamed of taking a cruise to Alaska! One of these days I will make that trip!!!

I love cooking with the family cookbooks and church cookbooks I have collected. Those recipes are tried and true and I know my family will not be disappointed with a new recipe I try!

Oh I hope I win this cookbook! Thanks.

Wow! Someone who enjoys cookbooks as much as I do. I know this sounds crazy, but I recently went through my cookbooks and got rid of two shelves worth of them. Not because they weren't good, but because I just didn't use them anymore. Most of them were from before I started cooking and the recipes weren't very great. My new favourite cookbooks are anything by America's Test Kitchen or Cook's Illustrated. My family raves every time I cook them something from one of those books.

Thanks so much for the giveaway.

The sourdough strawberry pancakes sound amazing! My husband has had his sourdough starter for almost 15years now. To be honest, if I were to win the cookbook I probably would just thumb through it and mark my favorites and then give it to my husband. He's the cook in the family. I take care of the laundry and the dishes. We're all happy with the arrangement!

What a fun giveaway. I am never one to pass up a cookbook. Regional cookbooks are so fun. We were trying desperately to go to Alaska, but instead the military sent us to ND. Not the quite same! I'd enjoy cooking from this book and getting a taste of what we missed.
